I went to Knits and Bolts today. Honest, all I wanted to do was look. Just look, I swear. $60 later I walked out with 2 loverly skeins of Rowan's Kidsilk Spray in a sweet raspberry color. They call it Regal I think. It's kid mohair and silk, and oh so soft. And VERY expensive, oh my GAWD! $15 for a 25 gram skein. It's for my mom, though. Another Branching Out scarf I think, that will look perfect with her silver grey spring coat (and her silver grey hair, too!) for Mother's Day.
I bought 5 yards of a green Celtic looking fabric too, for the back of Amanda's quilt. I'll wash it, piece the backing together and send that one off for quilting. I guess $30 for 5 yards of Maywood isn't outrageous. And I really did need it. And I haven't bought anything at all this year, and well, it filled up my frequent shopper card which gives me $20 to spend in the store next time, so really it only cost me $10 for that fabric. So it was okay, right? Right?!
