Well, it sounds like spring, that's a start

Click the bird. (then click the back arrow so you can finish reading this) ;o) This is what Vermont sounds like, from about 3 pm until sunset. The first of our snowbirds has returned, spring shouldn't be too far behind. Canada Geese are heading further north, we see them very high on the north bound air currents. No robins yet, or even the female Red Wings, but soon.

Tori and I went for a walk the other day and saw lots of green pokeys - daffodils and hyacinths, I suspect. We even saw some crocuses ready to pop, but not quite there. No forsythia for a few weeks, then the azaleas that must have been on sale somewhere, about 20 years ago. EVERY yard (but mine) has them and I really don't see the charm. But oh well. My neighbour Laura feels that way about forsythia, so we both agreed to grow lilacs. They'll be a while yet, but the buds are there, and they're swelling.

For now, though, in my cold, still winter yard, I'm happy that it sounds like spring, at least. Welcome back, gentlemen, I trust your wives will be joining you shortly.

Thank you for that, it's one of the things I miss about the midwest. OH! And Bluejays. Never thought I'd miss those...but I do....OH! And Robins! Nope, none of those here either, *sigh*.
