I'm getting a little concerned with all this progress. ;o)
Today - Nancy's rows got mailed, Karen's arrived. This one will be easier, I suspect, though as I mentioned last fall, I've "been there, done that" with the black and brights. Still, this one's different - really vibrant. Not sure where to go, yet. I'll give it a bit to stew. I was thinking 8" blocks, but Denise's blocks, in the row above mine are 8" and I think I need to do something else. We'll see.
I got the last 4 pyramids done too, and even got the initial cuts of the sashing done. I think I'll lay out all the pyramids first, 6 by 7, and then assemble these a row or chunk at a time, rather than real start to finish assembly line. I find doing the exact same thing over and over gets tedious and boring, and when I get bored I get sloppy. This part will go fast, I have no concerns there. I might make my end of May deadline after all. Cool beans!
Tomorrow my little Drummer Boy plays in the first of 2 Memorial Day parades. I'm not sure if we're all going, but I will for sure make the hour drive up to Essex to watch him play. Doesn't hurt that the parade passes just one block from a great fabric store which is across the street from a GREAT Italian deli. Yum and yum.
And today's mystery... this PLANT, Miz Piggy, is a weed. The leaves are a little bluer than this picture would indicate, and the flowers a little more purple. I didn't buy it, it just volunteered. I like it, though, but will pout and cry and then pull it out if someone convinces me it's some sort of noxious demon plotting massive herbological chaos. Please no one tell me that, 'kay?

Yeah, I knew that was a plant. My only suggestion is:
don't smoke it.
