Well, would you look at that?!
I got something done today. Go fig! I didn't do all these blocks today, just the top two, (the rest others were done Monday and Tuesday) but still. I've got two more to do tomorrow, then I can pass this commitment, Nancy's Row Robin, on to the next player. Just in time to receive Karen's. ...sigh...
This one is not comfortable for me - the fabrics are pretty enough, in a kind of Jane Stickle-esque way. I could have picked four 12" blocks that I liked, made them in Nancy's colours, and called it done. But the small scale prints and CW colours needed to be done right, and I think I've succeeded. If you think otherwise, please keep it to yourself. ;o)
Next up, 4 more pyramids for Duncan's quilt. I'm still not loving these, but eh, they'll be okay. I've got 8 more to go, and then sashing and assembling the top. I'd love to have the top done in time to show it off for the Airing on June 3rd. Does sewing with your fingers crossed make things go faster?
And finally Amanda's quilt arrived back from the quilter last week. No, I did not do the quilting myself. I know my limits. And I'd hate to stitch that much crankiness into a happy thing like a Christmas gift. Besides, the quilter I use is a doll, she charges FAR too little, and turns quilts around superfast. What's not to love? What I *did* do, though, it cut about a mile of bias tartan binding (lying on top) and I trimmed and squared the top.
I also got a pile of paper together to drop off at the accountant on Friday, and I paid off the Visa card. All this got done with the "assistance" of my cute boyfriend. I'm impressed.
so... tomorrow, if I can accomplish as much as I did today, I'll be golden! That binding will be on, the RR will be done, and I'll be down to my last 4 pyramids.
Friday, the accountant nightmare will be hers, not mine, and I can linger over coffee with Cindy completely carefree. Can't wait!
