A Theme

What I Plan to do on My Summer Vacation

  1. 64 oz of water, every single flippin' day. Gosh.
  2. Strive for 5 servings of (ugh) veggies. Yes, pickles and olives count, as would, theoretically, the tomato juice in a Bloody Mary.
  3. 1/2 hour of intentional exercise every day. Dancing outside the bathroom (see #1) while *somebody* finishes up whatever it is he/she is doing in there doesn't count.
  4. See list of UFOs in the right sidebar. Hop to, Emmy Lou.
  5. The kitchen closes at 8 pm. Still hungry? Tough. Altoids and tap water will get me through 'til breakfast.
  6. That pit of a sewing room in the basement is WAY cooler than the rest of the house. Tie on a rope, grab the vacuum and clean it!
  7. There may well be a black hole on the kitchen counter, but I'll never know until I actually excavate the layers of junk mail and "important" papers and get down to bedrock.
  8. Watch a movie, read a book, try a new restaurant. All by myself.
  9. Look into registering for a couple of college classes in the fall. I wonder what I want to be when I grow up?
  10. Cut my hair? Colour my hair? Shave off all my hair? Something's gotta happen up there soon.
I've fallen hard off the weightloss wagon, and today, I'm hauling my lardass back on. I've also become a slug about some of the less "everyday" cleaning issues. Martha Stewart isn't going to show up at my door anytime soon, and my friends come over to see me, not my sparkling windows and alphabetized files, but there's got to be a happier medium. And finally, I need to give myself just a little personal time. I don't need a lot, but when I get NONE, everyone suffers. So... let's see where this goes.

You know have to weigh in here, doncha?

I firmly believe that if you don't take care of yourself, NO ONE else will; therefore, if you take care of yourself...EVERY ONE benefits!

I'm holding your hand Dorothy, we're cyber neighbors! Get your rear in gear girl and follow the leader! I was desperate to keep up with you, now it's my turn.

Tomorrow morning tell me 3 GOOD things that you did for yourself or healthy choices you made...

Hugs ~

I want to lose 10 pounds in three weeks. I don't even think that is possible.
And only one month until Bastille Day!! W00T!

You can do it. I really like the things you chose just for you - they are so important so make sure you do them. Hey - do one thing just for you by yourself or for yourself every week. It will make the other stuff bearable.

Those first three are part of my goals... that's why I'm doing the 10,000 steps challenge!

And.. if you can find the V-Fusion juice.. it has a serving of veggies in every 8 oz (and of fruit!). And no corn syrup or extra sugars. We are both using it here to get some extra veggies.

The sleep is important, too. Did you know your body does it's healing only after about 6 hours of sleep??

Good luck!

All eyes are on you fearless leader so forge ahead.I sautee my veggies in the EVOO and toss on some garlic powder and that I can't believe it's not butter spray.I hate veggies, really, but I can eat a couple bowls full prepared that way and look forward to them now.

Keep moving out those books...you'll need a new wardrobe soon!

Can you color and cut your hair? You might really be surprised at the difference it will make!
