Where's the Kool-Aid?!

Mom just got back from 3 weeks in Holland, visiting her sister Kitty (she's the cutey on the left, mom's on the right.) Yes, I have an aunt whose REAL name is Kitty. Not Katherine, not Kate, not Kit. Her name really is Kitty. Anyway, silly mom did not bring her pretty Mother's Day scarf. Shame too, because apparently she just went on and on about it to anyone who'd listen. So what do I find in my voicemail box a few days ago but a request via mom from Tante Kitty, asking for a scarf too, just like hers. Of course! I'm happy to do it! Problem is, she wants dark green. The Rowan KidSilk I used for mom's scarf doesn't come in dark green. I'm having trouble, in fact, finding any laceweight wool in dark green.

I checked Ebay even, and came across several vendors selling hand-dyed, hand KOOLAID dyed wools, and ooh, baby, I wanna try that! It looks like so much fun! It seems knitty's got the instructions everyone swears by, so... I'll experiment on something a little cheaper than the KidSilk - maybe something I can knit up into a scarf or two for The Cindy Project.

So, you feel knitty for Kitty? Is she married to Milty? You know where this is going...

Pig, she was married to Meine (rhymes with Carolina) but he's been gone a few years. I don't have an Uncle Milty... too bad.

Rian, they ARE cute, aren't they? I've gotta look for a newer picture. They're still pretty cute.

Vicky - you got it. When I make Koolaid, I'll be sure to let you know.
