Monday Morning

I spent some time this weekend thinking about that Next Four list and the projects described thereon. Yes, well... I think I need to assign some due dates, to stay focused. That might help with my inability to count (see Saturday's post.)

I've resigned as a tester for the Quilter's Cache, and Marcia has graciously allowed me to leave (which means she's probably jumping around her camp naked, happy to be rid of me.) ;o) Honestly, my productivity was already bad, and I feel it isn't going to get better anytime soon. She deserves a tester who can get things done in a more timely manner, and I really wasn't enjoying the process anymore. I guess I did us both a favour. I don't know if she's looking for someone new, but if you're interested, drop her a line.

Today I'll get started on the baskets for Anna's top - at least getting fabric pulled but I hope to get some sewing in too - I'll work on the Rail Fences as leader/enders for the time being. I'm planning a 7 x 9 block layout (42" x 54"), 63 blocks that need to be ready for a last minute finish in September.

And I've been thinking about that neutral quilt. I'll have to haul out the bag to see exactly what I've got, but I think I'll assemble big blocks (18"? 20"?) then set them with some contrasting/coordinating sashing. Nothing definite there yet. The bag's still in the basement, but the quilt's up on my mental design wall. I just hope it can shut up for a while until I get through everything else. My left-leaning brain needs to work in order, dammit. I've got a list! That list has numbers!! Those numbers are VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!! (or not)

Poor Poor Marcia....she lost both of us, what will she do?

Stephanie would totally understand your left-brainic moments, but me? I skip all over the place! I have 2 quilt projects visible at the moment....LOL
