One down, one to go

For Marcia anyway. This one is called Checkerboard Star. My colours are different, and my values are a little messed up - I mixed up colour 3 and 4, but I think it looks okay, huh? This one's all out of the scrap bag, so it's almost like all it "cost" was a little time. Cute block, but a little busier than I like.

Well, would ya look at me?! Block #2 for Miz Hohn, called Sailboats, and I am officially, in that department, caught up. Will wonders never cease? Note for anyone thinking how cute this block is (uh, nobody?) it's a booger - all bias and weird sizes. And don't even THINK about using a directional print - they just go every which way. It might be easier to make several - you could pick and choose background pieces all going in the same direction at least, and you could piece that boat/sails piece as a big fancy HST, but still. Ugh.

that star is right down my alley. Love the pattern - can't wait to see it on the site. The sailboat is cute too! You've been busy today! :)

I like the star block. So-so on the boat.

Love the star block. The boat would make a nice baby/toddler boy quilt. I really like the color choices in the first block.
