Rest In Peace

Gerald August Weihs, a lawyer here in our town, died last week. I don't believe I ever had occasion to meet him, I wish I had. He sounds like he was something else.

From yesterday's paper: No funeral service was conducted. It would be appreciated that flowers not be sent nor contributions made on his behalf. It is intended that there be, instead, individual and profoundly personal celebrations in honor of his place on this earth. Importantly, he would have urged everyone to realize joy and beauty in each day, to respect and honor one another, and to love and protect our beloved land.
