Countdown to chaos

As I mentioned yesterday (Tuesday?) our PTO fundraiser starts today. And while it's not ALL my work, it's mostly mine, and any one of my helpers will attest to that. The kick-off assembly is this afternoon at 2. The decorations are up, the packets, incentive coupons and teacher materials have been labeled, counted, and distributed, the prizes are variously wrapped, assembled, and/or displayed. The front end work is almost done. In 2 weeks, the other effort starts - retrieving returned packets, processing the order, counting the cash.

The in between time is the FUN part. We have prize draws daily. This is everyone's favourite - The Candy Jump. A name is drawn, the kid comes down to the foyer and stands at the end of a tape loaded with about 30 feet of candy. L-O-N-G jump. We cut the tape by the kid's feet, and they go home with a BIG grin. This one is so popular, we even did a grown up version for Staff Appreciation for a couple of years. Ferrero Roche and Dove morsels on that one. The kids prefer Cheetos and Twix.

*Shameless (daily) plug* Click here if you're so inclined. Thanks!
