The geese are taking wing

I don't have pictures of the thousands of geese that fly over here on their way south, but here's a link to some cool shots. The sound of this many birds in one place is unreal.

Instead, here's a picture of my own geese. I've made 12 of these cuties in the past week for the commission piece I've got on the go (sidebar list, item 5.) I don't especially enjoy the process of paper piecing, but boy oh boy there's nothing to match the precision. I'm a little less uptight about points in my own things, but this is for someone I admire, who wants to give it to people she appreciates who care for someone she loves. How could I aim for anything less that perfect? Famous last words...

And with the month almost over, a few last tourist shots. This is the New Haven River as it bubbles through Lincoln, Vermont. The second shot is a little (probably, but not definitely, abandoned) cabin somewhere in the Green Mountains. Towns here, especially in the mountains, run into one another, it's not always easy to know where you are.

Oh, Dorothy, love the blue and white flying geese. Can we see the whole design?

That IS the whole thing, right now, just 12 deep. Once I have more together (today?) I'll snap another picture.

Great pictures! And I love those flying geese, too, they are so pretty against that white background, good job!!

Lovely work! PP is perfection, isn't it. I really like the picture of the stream, or river, or brook, eh, water. I can almost hear it!
