The 12 Days Project

Oh, I just had to. The Twelve Days of Christmas begin the evening of December 25 and run through until the evening of January 5th.

The Twelfth Night is January 5th, the last day of the Christmas Season before Epiphany (January 6th). Twelfth Night often included feasting along with the removal of Christmas decorations. French and English celebrations of Twelfth Night included a King's Cake, remembering the visit of the Three Magi, and ale or wine.

Okay, and we all know the song, yada yada yada...
12 Drummers Drumming
11 Pipers Piping
10 Lords a Leaping
9 Ladies Dancing
8 Maids a Milking
7 Swans a Swimming
6 Geese a Laying
5 Golden Rings
4 Coly (colley, calling) Birds
3 French Hens
2 Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Here's the project. Email me a link to your blog, and then post your OWN twelve days of photos, one per day. On the first day of Christmas, maybe YOUR true love gave YOU a Soup Spoon in a Par 3. Aim for a rhyme to the original, but please-please-please don't sweat it if you can't quite make it. And don't feel you need to rely on your True Love for the gift. Love yourself. Be creative, make us laugh, make us cry, make us wish we were you (or glad we aren't!) I'll add a list of participants to the sidebar for easy reference. I thought I'd set it up as a ring, but eh. Too much effort for less than two weeks' work.

Start thinking about how you might accomplish this. Be serious, be silly, be your sweet self. Fun? And how!

You have way too much time on your hands thinking up MORE stuff to do at this time of year :-)

I may be able to do this, with moving it could be fun to find the rhymes....
