Not quilt related, nor knitting. Do women still wear black jeans? Anyone?
I have a pair in my closet that should fit me in about 5 pounds, but I don't want to look like I'm such a pathetic creature that I'm wearing ten year old jeans (even though, you know technically I am.) I asked my daughter and she just rolled her eyes, but I couldn't tell if it was an "of course!" eye roll or an "of course not!" one.
TIA!

Boy I would wear black jeans in a heartbeat! Why would black jeans go out of style? Both my girls agree!
Black jeans sound fine to me, but my daughter claims I dress like a school teacher, so what do I know??
Gee, I hope they're still in style. I just bought some last month--I love black jeans.
yanno...anyone who would answer the door in a 'tiara', can wear black jeans...EVEN if they WERE out of style, which I don't think can happen with black jeans, at least not with plain black jeans...now - those awful ones with the bleaching on the butt and the knees deserve to be tossed (even before buying IMNSHO...) - as long as they aren't those kind, wear em!
Hi Honey, I can't speak for y'all up there in the frozen north country but here in the frozen south country (NY) black jeans are the dress of the day. I have 5 pairs and I dress them up and down depending on where I'm headed. In the winter with sweaters and in the summer with white linen shirts-I agree with Suze-I don't like those bleached out things either.
I just bought a pair of burgundy jeans this fall and enjoy wearing them so I can't see why black jeans would be any kind of a fashion issue. Just as long as they are not Mom Jeans. . . .
...as long as they don't have elastic around the waist...
Go for it you hot momma you!
I see your little counter up there sliding.
I'm just not there in the right frame of mind right now, I know better than to try.
Oops,I was going to say put the black jeans in the Goodwill bag. Maybe I don't know, but they scream 1980's to me. Especially if they are MOM jeans, high waisted and tight on the bottom. Watch "What Not to Wear" and they scream at anyone who wears Mom jeans.
They aren't bleached, they aren't elastic waist, they aren't super hi-rise (but they most certainly aren't low rise either. And the front-butt mom jean issue I think speaks as much to what I'm jamming behind that zipper as the style of the pants themselves. No pleats though, even *I* would have seen to toss those. I'll check 'em out when I can get 'em on, and maybe snap a pick so you all can tell me if I dare be seen in public with them.
Hmmm...I tend to agree with Teresa on this one. I guess it all depends on the cut/style.
I wear black jeans, but I am totally un-hip, fashion-wise. Just the very fact that I do have them means they are probably not the thing to wear.
