Penny in progress
This quilt is just doing nothing for me, and I realize it's the white backgrounds. I just don't like them. But I like the sashing. :o) An hour a day (or so) and I can get 4 blocks done in that time. I've got a stack of cut to sort-of length sashing strips, enough to be more than half done.
I prepared to get Crazy for Spring layered today, ready to tie it, but the backing I intend(ed?) to use is too short by about 6 inches. I may rethink it, though I really did want to use that piece. It's a fabric I can't ever have, ever again since Rose and Hubble went toes up. The piece I have is it, and I figured I could use it, intact, as the back of this crazy quilt. Not to be, I guess. I'll dig up something new, fold the dear ballerinas back into the cupboard, and try again another day.

I Love Quilts. I always always wanted a quilt of scrap clothes from childhood clothes to when I grow up. My mom use to save them to make one a day... But we lost all of it...
Anyways yours look really unique
Do you have an animal print for your border? I'm thinking Zebra, and maybe only 2", not to overpower. That way you can play off the white white...and a golden folded faux "piping" before a binding. Done & done!
I like the shashing strips. They really do add some interest to the (mainly) white blocks.
It looks great, Dorothy. That's how it's supposed to look, honestly. The women at my church all contributed blocks like this to a departing pastor. The "whiteness" can't really be avoided when a bunch of non-quilters are handed a blank sheet and told to put art on it ;)
The multi-colored sashing is great because it picks up all the colors that everyone used.
