The Christmas making is done. Well, except for the sleeping bag I want to make Cute Boyfriend. He's as un-fond of covers (and pajamas) at night as he is of clothes during the day. But that's a quickee - 2 layers of fleece and a sleeping bag zipper.
But this, THIS is done. Yahoo! Joy is about all I worked on this week, when I actually had time to work on anything at all. The cut thread part was panic-inducing, but I sucked it up and snipped. And only snipped too far twice. ;o) But I'll never say where, and no one will find it under the needle weaving.
Tomorrow I'm heading to Michael's to (hopefully) find a sectional frame to fit this odd sized beast, then it's blocking, pressing, mounting and mailing time. Yeah!
I did cut a muslin back for Susan's family tree piece. I've decided, and she agrees that a loose muslin back with hanging tabs top and bottom is just the look she wants. It will be displayable, and if dad ever wants it framed, there will be nothing to remove but the tabs. And in the meantime, the back of the work will be protected. I will be working on that in the evenings this week, I'll share pictures next week.
Other than that, I accomplished nothing of any significant note this week. Except maybe this. It tasted as good as it looks. In fact, I think I'll make another for tomorrow. Maybe with cheese baked in.

That Joy thing is a beautiful sight to behold. Wow. I could never do anything like that. I CAN however, bake bread. And I love to make it almost as much as I love to EAT it!
Happy happy joy joy! Looks fab - and the hardanger is great - I have very little patience for hardanger, so I admire it all the more. Nice bread, too...
The bread looks so good. It would be perfect with some Chili.
I love JOY. Scary stuff taking the scissors to it after all the work you put in. Looks like it turned out well.
