Eris, Sheshat, Namagiri

There are names I'm coming up with for this Lady of the Lake quilt. It's gotta be a girl, being the Lady of the Lake and all. I'm leaning toward Eris, the Greek goddess of confusion. Sheshat is the Egyptian goddess of Mathematics - I could have USED her help with this! Namagiri is a Hindu goddess who whispered equations into the ear of Srinvasa Ramanujan, one of the 20th century's great mathematicians. That's his story, anyway.

I have paired up all, and assembled about half of the 340 more HSTs for Alana's quilt. I was short one white, and cut 4 more red squares than I needed. Sigh.

Maybe I should call it "Eris, the Lady of Lake Namagiri." I wonder if it would pique Alana's curiosity enough for her to look up the references.

Yeah, but he's not a girl.

How about the Lady of Shalott? Always reminds me of Anne of Green Gables which has a nice Canadian connection.
