I'm getting so restless to get outside and play in the mud. With the new field we acquired, I can lay out a large, flat, sunny vegetable garden. The bit here behind the house will get grassed over. I have such grand plans.
Having coffee with Kathy on Monday I mentioned those plans, and she suggested I look at Gardener's Supply for raised bed corners. So I did. I checked Lee Valley Tools as well (I love the LVT cataolgs - soooo beautiful. Order them all.)These <- are from Gardener's Supply, these -> are from Lee Valley.
I love them both and thankfully (ugh) have a few days to decide since there's still &^%$ snow on the ground. I'm leaning toward the Gardener's Supply ones - they're aluminum, not ABS like the Lee Valley corners. Both will require the purchase of 2 x 6 lumber, which comes with its own quandary; pressure treated (chemicals), composite (plastic), redwood or cedar (expensive.) And how big? 12' x 16'? 8' x 20'? And then I'll need a couple yards of garden soil, and more compost... Ooooh, I'm so excited! And I haven't even decided what to plant yet!

Whew, before I read your whole post, I thought you guys were way ahead of us. I couldn't imagine that you had green grass yet. They are predicting snow here for the end of the week. I am SO ready for spring.
Say, those are nice! Do you have any raised beds already? If not, I predict that you'll really like them.
Those corners look very good. We don't garden around here, but my DH has been talking about a vegetable garden this spring. The corners would make putting together a bed easy.
Also, they would protect the corners from the weed eater when the grass is trimmed around the bed.
exciting indeed - it will be fun to see what you choose to plant. Oh, and thanks for the pineapple, which arrived today (a comment which will no doubt mystify several other readers) - no problem with the paper, I will either leave it or pick it off if it annoys me too much. It's why I tend to use magic paper for fndn piecing, though... you leave it in!
