Not to much to show for this week, again. I have the binding attached to Saraswati, but need to do the hand sewing. I haven't picked up the knitting I started last week at all. Again, hand work. I have all nine aprons cut, and 8 of them sewn except for the topstitching. I've signed up for Kate's "Another Little Quilt Swap" so may (will) slide that in line ahead of Christmas postcards.
Our weather has been glorious - high 70s all week with low humidity and few bugs. I transplanted Simon's clementine tree (grown from a seed) and the begonia I was given at the Volunteers' Tea on Wednesday. I dumped the soil out of my Scarborough Fair herb pot and had Cute Boyfriend refill it. Rosemary and sage so far, parsley and thyme when I run across them.
This afternoon we started clearing some of the scrub behind the house to gain easier access to our new field out back. Wild pears are extremely thorny. And it's tick season again. No ticks (Not that I spotted anyway) but I'm shredded from all the trees. While I let Scott wield the chainsaw (most of the time) this year, the kids and I dragged out the crap. Oh, and I got the rototiller out and gave the space formerly known as my garden a first once over. The strawberries are still there (I'll transplant them in the fall) and at the end of my strawberry patch, my rhubarb. Since everyone else is showing their's, I guess I'll show mine. How funny - I think I've seen 5 or 6 different blogs with rhubarb shots this week. Must really be spring.
