Weekend Whatever

Last week

Needlework
Finish ALQS
start left front Tori's sweater

Outside (same ole, same ole)
Weed, weed, weed
Water
Drag brush
clear to the satellite dish
Work on front bed
cage tomatoes
get some Irish Spring? to keep the deer out of the garden
yeah, baby!

The ALQS quilt went in the mail on Tuesday, before I went for my mammogram. The smash & scan results were in Thursday's mail (wow!) and I don't need to go see my boob quilt again until next year. So my top half is fine. Still waiting to hear about the bottom (I had a pelvic MRI a little over a week ago.)

The garden is growing like weeds. Wait, that doesn't sound right... The Irish Spring soap seems to have done the trick to keep the deer away. Or maybe they decided they don't like brocolli. Like George.

The brush clearing has gone spectacularly. After that brief interruption for bees, I kept going and made it as far as the satellite dish. This week's section is denser, I think, so I'm biting off a smaller piece. But who knows. There's a lot of small stumps that my loppers can't cut through. Scott says a reciprocating saw would work, but I don't have a reciprocating saw. Yet. Still, it looks far more inviting now than it did before. More Camp White Pine, less Survivor.

I'm going to start taking my knitting to the park on Monday nights for the band concerts. I don't know that I'll get much done, but we'll see.

And later today I'm going to the Vermont Quilt Festival. Since their website specifically outlines their policy with regard to photos (yes, with appropriate credit) I'll snap some pics and share them later in the week. 'kay?

Great news about your top half -- hope the bottom turns out just as well :)
