Generally...
I believe that you can know a lot about a person by those with whom he chooses to surround himself. And I believe that when you put competent people in positions to which they are well suited, you must trust them to do their job to the best of their ability. If they prove themselves to be less than they appeared, or unsuited for the position, they deserve to be replaced.
I believe that history, both personal and collective, successful and failed, good and evil, offers us guidance as we move forward, but that there will always be challenges that cannot be solved by only looking backwards.
I believe that everyone is entitled to his opinion, and that Evelyn Hall would have got it exactly right with a little help from Ollie Holmes. It hurts no one to be respectful.
I believe that it is better to be propelled by hope than crippled by fear.
I believe that others' opinion does matter, and that everyone who is not with us is not necessarily against us.
and specifically...
I believe that in most cases, America chose well.
I believe that the back-biting talking heads who can't wait to dish on "this candidate" or "that spouse" or "those delegates" don't deserve another second of our attention. Though Michelle, honey, that dress is gross.)
I believe it is time to shut up already, there's work to be done. Let's see how this goes.
(and on that note, I'm done. Well, until I'm not - as I told my friend Teri, they are, despite everything else, politicians. By choice.)
Back to our previously scheduled program, already in progress.

Thanks Dorothy,
You are my favorite Liberal.
BTW.. maybe you can get a clue about where I am coming from if you read my 'other' last blog on the subject. I was going to email you directly, but thought I would share with the world instead.
Nicely said.
