Friday Flashback

I didn't shovel snow when I was growing up. My brothers did, my father probably did, but I never did. I moved from the house I grew up in to a room in someone's home for college, to an apartment, to North Carolina where it rarely snowed, and when it did, it wasn't deep enough, or around long enough to shovel anyway.

It wasn't until we moved back to Canada in 1990 that I discovered how much I really LIKE clearing snow! One of those first few years in Waterloo, Scott actually bought me an ice chopper for Christmas. That was great, I wonder where that thing went...

Great snow picture - glad it is there and not here. I'm not of an age that makes me want to clear snow anymore - not that I particularly liked it at any age.

Looks like a good "stay in the house and drink tea and read books" day.

I loved shoveling snow when I lived in Ohio!! You could see your progress so well and I felt very productive. It was always so nice when you were finished and went in the house and had hot chocolate. Thanks for bringing up the memories.
