I should maybe consider pinning, huh?

took me a minute to realize what the little scoops on the edge actually meant. at first i thought they might be intentional.

Thank you. I feel much better about the cotton batting quilted onto the back of my latest foray into machine quilting. Maybe it's our artistic signature.

I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I can't figure out how you did this - I know what you did, but I don't understand how it got cut. Please - put me out of my misery and explain what happened.

I cut it away. I could have unstitched it, but it was close enoug the the edge that the cut part got trimmed away anyway. I just clipped the extra away from the stitching, then I'll use my tweezers to pull out the little bits of fabric thread by thread. UNsewing would mean REsewing, and it would never look the same.

I am fascinated. That probably says nothing good about me.

I had to laugh at that. I have done the same thing. When I was doing mostly hand quilting, there were many times that I had quilted my piece to the leg of the pajamas that I was wearing, lol.

Oh, I get it now. You quilted through a folded over area of the top and the batting. Right?

So close, Christine. The back just folder over on itself right at the edge. I've cut away all the evidence, and the binding's going on this afternoon.

Ugh... Hopefully you were able to fix it.
