Border Issues

I've been sewing, a little every day, and have come up against a bit of a dilemma. I think this positive/negative goose border will work out after all (of course!) but I'm a little stumped by the corners and centers. I know I do not want the geese circling the quilt, which means they meet either in the corners, or in the centers. That's fine, no problem with the physical execution there, but I don't know which layout I like. I have 2 direction options, and within each, two corner options. So here goes.
Plan A has the geese flying out from the corners, meeting in the center of the borders. The little pieced corner stone can rotate to change the appearance - one kind of continues the goose theme with a freaky 3 winged creation ;o) the other defines the corner much more strongly by building up a solid band of light (or dark depending on the orientation of the blue/green) The example on the right reveals an unfortunate clunkiness in the green, though. I'm not sure if that would be the same if I had the colours reversed.
Plan B has the geese flying out from the center and meeting at the corner. The picture on the left reveals that clunkiness again, the one on the right has a different heaviness in the blue this time.

I guess I'll soldier on - I only have 2 corner blocks and 2 geese sections sewn, so enough for one full side. 2 more corners, and 6 more geese sections and maybe then would be a better time to worry about this, huh?

Today, though, I have some skirt sewing to do for Tori. Tulle. help me...

I like this last corner in the photo series. It seems quieter somehow.???

Maybe back the tulle with paper as you stitch it? Or water-soluble stuff?
