Tails! You lose!

(You, meaning me.)

So, Wednesday night after dinner, the family gathered around the electronic entertainment box for some, well, electronic entertainment. The remote was located, the infrared projector pointed in the general direction of the infrared receiver. The appropriate button pressed. Nothing. The button was pressed again. And again. The plug was pulled, re-plugged, still nothing except, what's that? A sinister flash sequence from the stand-by light. It was indeed standing by, and nothing more.

Scott has been hinting about a new tv, and I think the little man inside the big box finally paid attention and disabled the video so that his wish could come true. And yesterday, it did.

This wall was the intended destination of Forever. It is now the future home of The Giant Freaking TV. Sigh. Heads, I win, tails, you lose.

I understand that television is important to many people. I am not one of them. But it makes everyone else in my family happy, so I guess in that way it makes me happy to. And me and Forever, we'll just find somewhere else to hang out.

Oh, Daniel is Goldie's boy. He complains all day when Daniel's at school, then as soon as he gets here, the cat is right by his side. Just about every day "Get this cat out of the bathroom!" He has to sniff Daniel for at least 10 minutes every time he sees him, and has been known to cat bath the poor kid's head. Cat thinks he's a dog, I suspect.

Sigh. What is it with men and giant freaking TVs? No. Don't answer that.
