New Years Heave

Let the tossing begin! I've spent a good part of this morning crawling back into the darkest reaches of *that* cupboard and have pulled out 2 coffee makers, a hot pot, and a 4 slice toaster. They've all been there a while. Bye bye! Posted them on freecycle (I LOVE that site) and away they go to new home with people will love them. Well, use them anyway. I don't think there's anything else in there I don't need, but I do know there are other things in this house that would make someone else happy, and the freed up space will make ME happy! Plus, I don't have to pay to take them to the dump! I bought Scott some Mexican Coke (made with sugar, not corn syrup) for Christmas and I think I'll freecycle the bottles, too, when they're empty. Someone's gonna think they're cool.

I have a bag of clothes to take to the consignment store as well, and another for Goodwill. Saturday's trip to the dump and recycling, and I'll have a clean house to start the New Year. Yahoo!

Shoot: forgot the resolution again

Howzabout I don't BUY something unless I need it. Tori gave me the Alton Brown kitchen tool book and it's made me look at some of my stuff with a new eye. Do I REALLY need 3 different ways to make toast, or 4 different coffee pots? I don't think so either. Same for clothes, shoes, office supplies (a weakness), fabric (GASP!), candy, *deals.* Beautiful melamine bowls from Costco. Oh this is going to be interesting.

Oh Dorothy I saw bowls like those on the Crate and Barrel website, in ceramic. I drooled, then moved on. I love ceramic bowls, must go back to my moms pottery days.
