Movie Review

Yes, I did go to a matinée showing of Curious George today, and yes, it was cute. That's all it was, but so what?

Will Farrell does not do The Man with the Yellow Hat justice, plays him a little too doofus for my taste, but it's Will Farrell, so of course he does. Drew Barrymore is The Man's (his name is Ted in the movie) "love interest" and she plays Drew Barrymore perfectly. She's even got the "Wedding Singer" hairflip going. Moons all over Ted, bats her eyelashes a lot, it's all sweetness and typically Drew. George has put on a few pounds since he left the Reys' - he doesn't look right, but thankfully, he also doesn't talk. I think if George had spoken, it'd have ruined the storybook quality of the movie.

My cute boyfriend sat through most of it, he ate all his popcorn (mom snuck in a bagel) and passed on the orange soda in favour of my bottle of water. Good boy! A fun afternoon for under $10 - I think we could do this again. :o)
