Whew! All the chocolate in my house now has one of several new owners. If it belongs to someone else, I'm not tempted, but free range chocolate? Oh, baby, it's MINE!
I took Tori with me for my walk this morning, and she was huffing to keep up occasionally. I'm sure that was me a few weeks ago, too. Scott bought me an iPod and I promptly loaded just a bunch of random music - a lot of 80s, some Nat King Cole, some kids stuff too. Set it to Shuffle, tie on my Avias and off I go. There are a couple of absolute keepers -
Depeche Mode (Personal Jesus - no it's not a religious tune),
Alphaville (Forever Young),
REM (Shiny Happy People),
Green Day (American Idiot),
Foo Fighters (anything, I LOVE Dave Grohl)
Alien Ant Farm (Smooth Criminal)
Bon Jovi (It's my Life)
OutKast (Hey Ya!)
and a couple of definite losers, mostly because they're too slow -
Concrete Blonde (Tomorrow Wendy)
Nat King Cole (A Street Where Friends Meet)
Annie Lennox (Primitive)
Right now I just fast forward past the ones I don't like. It'll take some tweaking to get just the right hour or so mix, but it's fine, either way. And I feel so much less geeky without those big Sony headphones. Any great suggestions? I'm willing to listen to anything, once.

But you're not using ear buds are you?? They have shown that those can do real damage to your hearing. I use those earphones that clip around your ear.
Your playlist is a bit more modern than mine.. but I'll think about songs. If you want good help with this, go to Pandora.com, start a station by putting in a good walking song and see what they play for you.
I do use the buds, but low enough that I can still hear the birdies and approaching trucks. I'll be careful, mom. ;o)
Pandora.com - heading there now. Thanks!
BUT HOW WAS THE COFFEE ? ?
The coffee was awesome - everything I remembered and more. Today, Daniel and I are going to Middlebury to do a few chores and we'll stop for coffee (me) and a doughnut (him.) There's something almost sacreligious about drinking tea in a doughnut shop, you know?
I LOVE my mp3 player. I have an ecelectic mix of music, too, from the soundtrack of Wicked to Depeche Mode. Personal Jesus is on my playlist, too.
