Top's done

My once a year table runner. It needs some tweezer time, a good pressing, then layering and quilting. I'm a little freaked out about the quilting, though. It deserves more than stitch in the ditch, and I just don't have the skills.

It's gorgeous. What do you do with a table runner? Do you take it off when it is time to eat? I have one that I got as a gift, and I don't know what to do with it.

Its a beautiful table runner, Dorothy. If you can do SID, you can stitch parallel lines in the open spaces, kind of like echo quilting. Do you have any thoughts on how you want it quilted?

Ah, Jules. A woman after my own heart. I don't know what you do with a table runner. I guess you take it off at mealtime, I know *I* would, with the animals that eat at my table, anyway. This is for a friend who asked me to make one for her last year, too (hence the once a year thing.)

And Jeri, I don't know - I think I'll SID around the geese, but gee those big white areas scream for something "better." All I know is "better" is not within my skill set, and this isn't the piece to practice on.
