Green?
or red? I've always thought I wanted a red front door, but you know, EVERYbody wants a red front door. Maybe I want a green one? I don't know. Our door looks more like the second picture - white clapboard porch, the step is wood (willing to paint or stain that too, BTW), but gee, I love the green of that first one.

Red and green stripes? Retouch a photo of your door in Photoshop to see how the colors would look? Try covering it in red or green wrapping paper to see how it would look?
Green is pretty matchy-matchy with all the green stuff you have there an all...GO BOLD! I'd go red. Heck, you can always change it, lol.
Love 'em both! Either way it'll look great. (Oh - BTW - Michael Ondaatje is nominated for the Giller Prize for Divisadero!)
I have a teal door to match my little standing-seam metal roof over the stairway. If I change the door paint, then I'd have to repaint the roof.
You can probably paint your door red one year, green the next, and maybe black after that. I like black doors with very polished brass.
Try the green first, it's easier to paint on [red takes more coats] and keep the wood wood color, but treat it maybe?
Did you hear about this?

Wasn't sure if you'd heard or not. I think this is really sad.
Irene, I had heard that, and you're right. It is very, very sad.
Red. Definitely.
Good feng shui.
I used to have green. Now it's red. I once heard a real estate agent recommend painting the front door red because it is universally appealing and eye-catching. (I know you aren't selling. Just thought it was interesting.)
I'm gonna echo the last two beauties-my door is red and it makes me smile just to see it when I come home. Very friendly and warm
