Picked some more rhubarb too. Yum! In keeping with my one in/two out pledge, I made a crisp Tuesday night with the (new) rhubarb and then cleaned the strawberries and a couple of wrinkly apples out of the crisper. Does that count? :o) Easiest recipe ever - fill whatever sized baking pan with whatever fruit you've got. Strawberries, peaches, apples, rhubarb, raspberries. It's all good. Sprinkle with lemon juice (if you're using apples), sugar (for rhubarb), a little flour (for anything real juicy), and some cinnamon. Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1/2 cup flour, 3/4 cup sugar (white or brown, doesn't matter), 3/4 cup oatmeal (any kind but instant.) Sprinkle onto the fruit, bake at 350ยบ (or whatever temp the oven's on, if you're cooking something else) until the fruit's bubbly and the top's brown.Furether to the one in/two out challenge, you'll notice the little counter thing in the sidebar; I've been good about not buying things - that little splurge on bras and t-shirts the other day was it, and in return, I did a wee purge of the unmentionables drawer. It was way beyond time. More this week, I hope. Maybe when I hit 100 things thrown away or passed on, I'll find something nice and have a draw or something. Everyone else seems to have great fun giving things away - I'll bet I could find something around here that people would be willing to post a comment for. Let me ponder that this week.
I'm still plugging along on the ALQS quilt - it's quilted and just needs the binding. Cute Boyfriend has camp every morning this week, and the big kids sleep late, so I'll have some free time to get it done and in the mail this week. I'm a little relieved that whoever it was that drew my name isn't any more prompt about finishing than I am. I'd feel bad about accepting a gift when I hadn't even finished mine, yet.
And we're pushing forward in the wilderness this week. We've already found a basketball, maybe there's more treasure in them thar woods.

Dorothy, you are making me tired! Goodness, girl! Hey thanks for the recipe, I've got peaches here and was looking for a way to turn them into a tasty dessert for over ice cream.
Also, if you have something good to give up, maybe you could create a little competition here in the comments...what would we give up to trade for it? You could pick the best offer, and get something for what you gave.
Brilliant! You're an inspiration.
Yummy, love that fruit crisp! Cherry is the current favorite at our house.
