It was a soggy week, for the most part, though it dried up for the daylight hours anyway on Friday and Saturday. The vegetable garden is all weeded (or it was as of Wednesday.) I've made myself a list of projects that I'd like to get accomplished this summer, prioritizing them so the gotta dos get done, and the wanna dos get done if there's time. There'll be time as long as the weather decides it's going to shape up and cooperate.
I haven't gotten back into my brush clearing groove from last year, but I really need to. I'm so close to the end, I can't imagine it'll take more than a week or two. Or three. In any case, it's not going to clear itself, and I very much want it done by fall. Plus, it's a great get-strong workout.
I've challenged myself and my bigger kids to a little wager. We all dropped a little money in a pot, and whoever's lost the most weight by Sept 1 gets it all. It's a little thing, but I like that they've started paying a little more attention to empty calories and portion control. shhh... I kinda hope I lose, but only by a teensy bit. So far, I'm down 12lb since June 14. Yeah me!
