That's how many hours, more or less, of daylight between now and Christmas. This is what my mother is getting this year. I have not started, and realistically, I cannot work on this in the evenings without serious benefit of my headlamp and reading glasses.
Joann has DNC floss on sale right now, buy 3 get one free. They had all but two of the colours I need, and I might well have those downstairs in the dump.The detail, oh the detail! My eyes are already crossing at the thought. But this is the kind of gift my mother treasures, and since I can, I will. First job, though, is to seriously enlarge this pattern. 400% oughta be just about right.

now if you could just enlarge the fabric while working on it! What colors do you need? I might be able to help if your 'dump' doesn't have them.
I never knwew that you could enlarge a cross stitch pattern - thanks for the tip - if I ever get back to my pile of "I want to do this cross-stitch pattern."
