Geeze, school gets out, and suddenly I have no idea what day it is. Sheesh!

School's out! It seems like it's already been a month, but actually, it's only been 3 days - we slipped into summer mode very easily! My new daily schedule goes something like this: eat something, work out, breakfast, house *stuff*, 2 hours of sewing (ha!), garden/yard/other. It's working, so far!

The top for Danielle's quilt is approaching 1/2 way - I have 21 of the 42 blocks done, strips cut for many more, and a small stack of paper foundations waiting to be pieced upon. It looks better live than it does in pictures. Good thing! Onward!

The garden? Oh, the garden. Maybe 3rd time's the charm with the corn? I have to come up with something (maybe posterboard) that I can use to keep the cutworms off the corn seedlings. It's starting to piss me off, and at this rate, it'll be Labour Day before we get any corn! The flower beds are looking great, though. Last year's daylily makeover is coming nicely, the slow-to-start hostas and astilbe under the trees are finding their way. And the grass? Growing like weeds! (probably because mostly, it is.)

Tori began work this morning - she coaches Girl Scout Jump Rope camps. This week she's in Winooski, just shy of an hour from here. Being the only driver without a prior commitment, I'm doing taxi service Today (both ways), Wednesday, and Thursday morning. Good thing I like driving, and don't mind getting up early. So much for that schedule, though...
