Tonight is the annual Harvest Supper at the local Catholic Church. I believe the money raised goes toward the fuel oil bill. It's a beautiful old drafty building that must cost a fortune to heat. The supper is an annual event - good friends, good food. Maybe I'll pick up a bottle of wine, generate a little personal heat at the same time.

Ellie's Quilt is done! I had thought originally that I'd call it Queen Bee, but it's just not right. I'll think of a new name (it'll have some sort of Barn Raising, gathering of friends theme to it), get a label on, and be finished. Nic's quilt has the binding attached, but not sewn down. It will be done this week too, and if I can(?) I'll schedule a day to get Danielle's quilted this week as well. Next week if this week doesn't work out.

We've had some cold nights, and I've admitted it's time. The garden is empty. Gee I LOVE my new wagon! I've picked up loads of downed branches from last weekend's storm, and used it to haul all the garden waste out to the dump pile in one trip! I'm hoping to get another load out of the composter before the ground freezes, but it can wait until spring if I don't. I'm pushing it - I only emptied it last month. Some warm days and daily spinning might make it happen though. We'll see.

Next weekend is Hallowe'en, my least favourite "holiday." Can't stand it. Daniel plans to be a zombie. yeah. can't wait.
