Trixie Belden

I loved these books when I was 8, 9 maybe? Devoured every one our little library had. Jim, Trixie, Honey, Mart, Di - my friend Mercedes and I wanted to be a part of their team. I learned a phrase in those books, a phrase I'd certainly never heard, and a term that perfectly described my attitude toward cleaning then, and apparently lately too. "A lick and a promise."

Yesterday, as I was cleaning the kitchen and the cruel, cruel sunshine streamed through my window, that phrase immediately came to mind. Wonder why?

OH! I loved the Trixie Belden series. I started to write a mystery myself when I was in like the 5th grade. The heroine was Tracy Kraft.. it was the most sophistocated name I could think of. :) Alexis

I remember her when we were in the States during my elementary years. I am more the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys and the Three Investigators girl.
